Our Story

Grandma lives in the south. Her children work up north. No one could talk to her caregiver.

This is where LingoWave began.

Grandma lives in the south, cared for by an Indonesian caregiver. Her children all work up north and can't be by her side every day.

The caregiver looks after Grandma every day — she knows her condition better than anyone. But the language barrier meant that knowledge never reached us. All we could do was run messages through Google Translate and install a webcam, guessing at how she was really doing.

Was Grandma okay? Had she eaten? Was her condition stable? No one could answer, and we worried about it every single day.

We slowly realized: the caregiver was caring for Grandma, but language was pulling us apart. If translation happened instantly, and health records synced automatically, this daily anxiety wouldn't have to repeat.

What we believe

An information gap shouldn't exist just because of language

A caregiver's dedication deserves to be seen and understood

Good technology should bring people closer, not leave them apart
